Welcome to Keiryuji
Keiryuji (Mountain Stream Temple) is a small Soto Zen Buddhist hermitage in the Spanish
Pyrenees, near the village of Camprodon. Surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of the Alta
Garrotxa Nature Reserve, it offers a place of silence, simplicity, and dedicated Zen practice.
Keiryuji welcomes those who sincerely wish to deepen their Zen practice and are willing to open
themselves to the guidance of the teacher and the discipline of daily temple life. With only a few
places available, the temple offers an intimate environment that supports focused, dedicated
practice and personal guidance.
Together with a small community of residents, guests participate in a daily schedule of zazen,
Buddhist services, study, and samu (working together), supported by the tranquillity of the
mountains and a simple way of life.
A place to pause, practise, and encounter the simplicity of Zen.
